Pie with marmalade
Description
For the dough you can use any fermented milk product. I recommend replacing a quarter of the flour with semolina – this will make the cake more crumbly. In general, such a cake can be baked not only with marmalade, but also with other candies, candied fruit, nuts. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions

Step 1

Everything is very quick and simple. Turn on the oven and preheat to 180 degrees. Measure out the kefir or buttermilk. Add the sugar, a pinch of salt, and crack in the egg. Mix with a fork until smooth.

Step 2

Add the sifted flour with baking soda and mix the dough. The consistency of the dough is about the same as for pancakes. If the kefir is not too sour, add a tablespoon of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to the dough and mix again.

Step 3

Well grease the pan and pour in the batter. Dip the jam by the bottom in flour and place it on top. Use as much jam as you see fit.
- 4
Step 4

Bake the pie for about half an hour. Check doneness with a toothpick—it should come out of the pie dry. Brush the finished pie with butter and cover it with a towel for about 5 minutes.

Step 5

Then remove the cake onto a rack and let it stand for another 10 minutes. This is necessary so that the jam inside has time to cool a bit and doesn’t spill when cutting.

Step 6

Sprinkle the pie on top with powdered sugar (or dry milk, if you don’t want extra sweetness) and serve warm.
