
Strawberry pie
Description
I bake the shortcrust pastry base for the pie separately, then fill the pie with the filling and put it in the refrigerator for a while. Strawberry pie is a delicious and simple dessert for a celebration or family dinner. Decorate it with whipped cream or meringue cream, or serve with ice cream. Enjoy this delicious pastry warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

1. Wash the berries, then drain them in a colander to remove excess moisture. Remove the green stems by hand or with a knife.

2. Roll out the shortcrust pastry in advance and place it into a baking pan; bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until done, then let it cool. Once cooled, spread 2 cups of whole strawberries over the crust.

3. Coarsely chop the remaining strawberries and crush them using a meat mallet or other tools.

4. Transfer the strawberry mixture to a saucepan and place it over heat.

5. Add granulated sugar to the strawberries and mix, then warm slightly.

6. Pour a glass of water into another bowl and dissolve the cornstarch in it, then mix.

7. Pour the dissolved starch into the saucepan with the strawberries.
