Cocoa Cake
Description
The pastry is easy and quick to prepare. I personally love rich chocolate cakes, but this pie won me over with its perfect balance of simplicity and flavor. It has a slight bitterness, so it might not appeal to those who prefer overly sweet desserts. But if you're a true connoisseur of chocolate flavors, you must try it. Serve with tea or coffee.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Dust a round baking pan with flour. A pan with a diameter of 22.5 cm and a height of 5 cm is suitable for this recipe. I used one measuring 24 x 6 cm.

Step 2
Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3
On medium speed of the mixer, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.

Step 4
Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture in batches, alternating with water. Begin and end with flour. Mix until the ingredients are combined.

Step 5
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and dry.

Step 6
Chill in the mold for an hour. Invert onto a wire rack, then transfer to a serving plate. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
