Turkey Pie
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. Of course, you can make one large pie, but I prefer several small ones. They are convenient to take with you to the outdoors or to work. In general, serve warm or chilled. Ideal with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
First, preheat the oven to 220 degrees. If it has a fan, you can set it to 200 degrees.
- 2
Step 2
Take 2 baking sheets and line them with parchment paper.
- 3
Step 3
Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil. Slice the onion into half-rings and sauté over medium heat until soft (about 3 minutes).
- 4
Step 4
Slice the mushrooms into thin pieces. I usually use button mushrooms.
- 5
Step 5
Cut the bacon into cubes. Add the mushrooms and bacon to the pan with the onion. Increase the heat and sauté together for about 4 minutes. The mushrooms should become soft and the bacon crispy.
- 6
Step 6
Now add the turkey meat, cut into small pieces, as well as the cream and mustard. Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer everything together for another 3 to 5 minutes. The cream sauce should thicken slightly.
- 7
Step 7
Once the cream thickens, remove the pan from the heat and add grated hard cheese and chopped parsley to the filling. Let the filling cool slightly.
- 8
Step 8
Now let's work on the dough. It should be thawed. We need 4 circles with a diameter of 14 cm and 4 with a diameter of 17 cm.
- 9
Step 9
Place circles of smaller diameter on baking sheets. In the center of each, put one quarter of the prepared filling. Leave about 2 centimeters of dough around the edges.
- 10
Step 10
Lightly beat the egg and brush the edges of each circle with it. Cover each filled dough circle with a second, larger circle of dough. Press the edges firmly to seal. Make a small hole on top to allow steam to escape.
- 11
Step 11
Bake for about 20 minutes, until the pies are done.
