Pie with mushrooms and chicken

Description

Delicious baked dish for the whole family. Actually, I've never been particularly good at baking — working with dough is probably not my thing. However, I really love this simple recipe for a chicken and mushroom pie. First of all, because the dough is extremely easy and takes only minutes to prepare. Secondly, you can change the filling every day if you like, but the version I'm offering you is the tastiest. In my opinion, the combination of chicken fillet and aromatic mushrooms is simply perfect — a pie with this filling cannot possibly turn out anything but delicious. So if you're interested in how to quickly and easily make a great treat for the whole family, I'll be happy to tell you.

Instructions

So, pour a little vegetable oil into a frying pan and sauté diced onion until translucent. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for another 7–9 minutes. Once the excess moisture has evaporated from the mushrooms, add the chicken fillet cut into small pieces and cook until the meat turns light in color. Season the prepared filling with salt and pepper to taste, then set aside to cool.

For the dough, break the eggs into a deep bowl and beat them with a fork. Add sour cream and mayonnaise to the egg mixture, and thoroughly mix everything.

Now the dough needs to be thoroughly mixed until it becomes smooth and free of lumps.

Next, take a baking dish or a high baking tray and pour half of the prepared batter into it. Evenly spread the filling over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top. Place the tray in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake the pie until done, about 30–40 minutes, depending on your oven's power.

As soon as the pie develops a golden crust, prick it in several places with a toothpick to check for doneness. If the toothpick comes out dry, the pie is ready to be removed and served.
