Pie with pineapples, tomatoes, and Brie cheese
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. Brie cheese, pineapples, and tomatoes are quite diverse ingredients; however, I tried combining them and making a savory pie with pineapples, tomatoes, and Brie cheese—it turned out very tasty. The filling of this pie is very juicy and tender, while the crust is crispy. The pie is snapped up at both children’s and adults’ tables. Give it a try. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Using a blender, blend the barley and flour.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the cold butter into cubes and add it to the barley flour mixture.
- 3
Step 3

Again, using a blender, grind the entire mixture to a crumb-like consistency.
- 4
Step 4

Pour a little (a quarter cup) of cold water into the mixture and start kneading the dough with your hands. Then shape the dough into a little ball like the one in the photo.
- 5
Step 5

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for about an hour.
- 6
Step 6

Slice the Brie cheese into lengthwise slices.
- 7
Step 7

Peel the pineapple and cut it into small pieces. Cut the cherry tomatoes into quarters.
- 8
Step 8

Roll out the dough into a thin sheet, spread the filling on it, and fold over the edges. Sprinkle the pie on top with oregano and black pepper or other spices to taste.
- 9
Step 9

Bake the pie for 20 minutes at 200 degrees. A golden crust should form. Serve while still warm.
