Description

Homemade baked goods for tea. Any soft candies can be used as pie filling, except jelly candies, which may simply absorb into the dough during baking. Milk and chocolate candies work especially well. Be sure to sift the flour—this will aerate it and make the baked goods lighter and softer. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.

    Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making the Razbornik pie with candies.

    Pour warm milk and melted butter into a bowl, and crack in an egg. Add sugar and salt to the bowl, crumble in the yeast, and add vanilla sugar. Mix everything well until dissolved and smooth.

    Sift the flour into a bowl and knead a soft, tender dough. Shape the dough into a ball, place it in a deep bowl, and cover.

    Place the bowl with the dough in a warm place for 50–60 minutes to rise. The dough should double in size.

    Divide the risen dough into equal portions and roll into balls. Cover the portions and let rest for 10 minutes. Flatten each ball into a small disc, place a candy in the center, and pinch the edges together to form a ball again with the filling inside.

    Grease the baking pan with vegetable oil and place the balls spaced apart. Leave for 20–25 minutes, then brush with beaten egg.

    Bake the "Razbornik" pie in a hot oven at 180°C for 35–40 minutes. Remove the finished pie and brush the top with butter. Let the pie cool until warm; if desired, dust with powdered sugar and serve.
