Pie
Description
Perfectly goes with tea and coffee. For making this type of pie, you can replace canned meat with homemade stewed meat, cutting it as small as possible and adding a bit more sauce to make the filling juicy. Since canned meat contains broth, the filling with homemade stewed meat should be seasoned with added butter. The baked dish is ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To prepare the pie, boil the rice in salted water, adding 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the water while cooking.
- 2
Step 2

Now add a couple of spoons of beef stew to the rice. Mix well. You can add some herbs to the filling, but my family doesn't like them, and they will overpower the taste of the rice with stew.
- 3
Step 3

On the table, lay out a sheet of parchment paper. Place store-bought puff pastry on it. Lightly dust the pastry with flour.
- 4
Step 4

Roll out the dough on parchment paper into a flat sheet. Try to roll the dough in one direction, so it retains its shape and becomes evenly thin on all sides.
- 5
Step 5

Place the filling made of rice and canned meat onto the dough.
- 6
Step 6

Place several small pieces of butter on the filling. Roll out another piece of dough and cover the pie with it. On this top layer of dough, I made small indentations with a rolling pin to allow steam to escape during baking.
- 7
Step 7

Pinch the edges together. Trim off excess dough. Smooth them out. Fold the edge of the pie upward and pinch to create a decorative border. Use leftover dough to create a decorative pattern on top of the pie.

Step 8

Brush the entire surface of the dough with beaten egg. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the pie until golden brown and cooked through (20-25 minutes).
