Ossetian Pie
Description
The recipe won't take much time. A delicious, hearty, and quick-to-prepare Ossetian pie—just for you! Of course, you can always work some magic with the dough by making it yourself. But my hands simply refuse to cooperate with any kind of dough, especially yeast dough, so I have to buy it ready-made. Other than that, the recipe is excellent—I recommend it to everyone. The pastry is ready. Serve it at the table.

Step 1

1. Mix warm kefir with yeast and wait for the yeast to activate. Then add butter and salt to the kefir mixture. Stir and add two cups of flour. Mix again, transfer to a pot, cover with a towel, and let the dough rise.

2. For the filling, boil and mash the potatoes into a puree, add spices, grated brinza cheese, and chopped wild garlic, then mix well.

Step 3

3. I rolled out the dough, placed the filling in the center, and sealed the edges to form a "dumpling" like this.

Step 4

4. Now simply roll out this bun again into a flatbread, place it on the skillet, and make a characteristic hole in the center.

Step 5

5. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes on one side, and about 5-6 minutes on the other, until the pie is golden brown. Done!
