Instructions

Step 1

1. The dough is indeed one of the simplest. In a deep bowl, combine margarine (in the recipe for the "Curly" pie with jam, you can also use butter), sugar, and eggs.
- 2
Step 2

2. Rub the mixture until smooth. Then gradually add the flour, sifted together with baking soda, salt, and vanilla.

Step 3

3. Ultimately, you will get a soft, quite elastic dough. Divide it into two unequal parts. Place the smaller part into a plastic bag and put it in the freezer.

Step 4

4. Roll out the larger piece and place it on a baking sheet; you can line the sheet with parchment paper beforehand, but the dough doesn't stick at all. Prick it slightly with a fork and put the dough into a preheated oven.
- 5
Step 5

5. Bake it for about 10-12 minutes, until the crust dries slightly.
- 6
Step 6

6. After the base has cooled slightly, you can spread any jam you like over the surface.
- 7
Step 7

7. To prevent the "Kudryavy" pie with jam from being moist when making it at home, you can sprinkle starch on top. If the jam is thick, you can do without it.
- 8
Step 8

8. Take a piece of dough out of the freezer. Grate it on a medium or fine grater and sprinkle the resulting crumbs over the top. Return the pie to the oven and bake until golden brown.
