Jam-filled pie for tea
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. You can adjust the recipe for the jam-filled tea cake to your taste—for example, using butter instead of vegetable oil and sugar instead of honey. If desired, you can also add an egg to the ingredients, but the cake turns out soft, fluffy, and airy even without it. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Step 1

1. Mix kefir with baking soda and vegetable oil. Add honey and whisk until smooth with a spoon or whisk.

Step 2

2. Add the dry ingredients — flour sifted together with starch — and begin kneading the dough. It should not be too stiff, so control the amount of flour.

Step 3

3. If desired, you can also add dried fruits, candied fruits, or chopped chocolate to the tea cake recipe with jam. Any nuts of your choice will also work perfectly.

Step 4

4. Line the baking pan with parchment paper and place the dough inside. Spread it out to create a smooth surface.

Step 5

5. Place it in a preheated oven for 15–20 minutes to set slightly. Then remove from the oven and spread your favorite jam on top. Return to the oven and bake until fully cooked. The finished pie with jam should cool down thoroughly at home so the jam can be fully absorbed. Only after that can it be sliced and served.
