Oatmeal Pie
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. I prefer making homemade pastries entirely from scratch. However, if you're short on time, you can use ready-made shortcrust pastry. Just bake the base, spread it with chocolate, and fill with caramel oat flakes. Serve the cake cooled, with tea or coffee. Enjoy! The pastry is ready. Serve it at the table.

Step 1

1. Prepare the dough. Sift flour into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and sugar, mix well. Add the butter.

Step 2

2. Knead the shortcrust dough by hand or using a kneading attachment, gradually adding cold water to make it easier to work with. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.

Step 3

3. Take out the chilled dough and place it on a floured surface. Roll it out thinly.

Step 4

4. Place the dough layer into the prepared baking pan, carefully pressing it down to the bottom of the pan so that it does not tear.
- 5
Step 5

5. Lift the edges of the dough and shape them into borders. Place the pie pan in the freezer for 20 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

6. Fill the inside with peas or chickpeas, then place the pie crust in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for 20 minutes.

Step 7

7. Spread the oat flakes on a baking sheet and place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 9

9. Spread the prepared chocolate mixture over the shortbread base and refrigerate.
