
Ice cream pie
Description

If you like, soak the pie with syrup or topping. Serve with tea or coffee.

Prepare the ingredients listed. Buy ice cream labeled “Plombir” or vanilla; darker ice cream will tint your pie—for example, to a chocolate color. Take it out of the freezer ahead of time so it can thaw.

In the bowl of a food processor, beat the eggs with salt and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3–4 minutes.

Pour in the ice cream and mix. Because it is sweet, I had to slightly reduce the amount of sugar.

Gradually add top-grade wheat flour in portions, stirring it into the mixture together with the baking powder.

Coat the bottom and sides of the pan with vegetable or butter. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Pour the prepared batter into the pan and place it on the middle rack of the oven.

Bake the pie until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. This will take you about 35–40 minutes.

Let the ice cream pie cool slightly, then unmold it onto a plate.
