Lavash pie with ground meat and zucchini
Description
There are many ways to prepare lavash. I suggest you try this interesting version too. You can serve the pie with tea or equally well as a main course. The bake is very hearty, juicy, and delicious. You really must try it! The recipe is simple, and the result is outstanding. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Combine the mince, one egg, chopped herbs (I used parsley), onion grated on a coarse grater, crushed garlic, breadcrumbs, salt, and spices to taste. Mix thoroughly.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the zucchini into lengthwise strips about 5 mm thick. I cut each strip in half again, but if the zucchini isn’t very long, you can skip that step. Heat oil in a frying pan, add the zucchini, and fry for literally 1–2 minutes on each side. You don’t need to brown the zucchini heavily; the main thing is to soften them.
- 4
Step 4

Separately combine kefir, milk, and the remaining eggs. Add salt to taste and whisk thoroughly.
- 5
Step 5

On one edge of the lavash, arrange the fried zucchini in a single row. Then shape the minced meat into a sausage and place it on top. Starting from the zucchini-and-meat side, roll the lavash tightly into a roll.
- 6
Step 6

Cut the finished roll into pieces about 3–4 cm wide and arrange them snugly in a heatproof baking dish. Line the bottom with parchment paper and brush with oil.
- 7
Step 7

Next, pour the prepared sauce over the rolls and sprinkle with grated cheese.
- 8
Step 8

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30–40 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

The lavash pie with minced meat and zucchini is ready.
