Yeast pie in the oven
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. You can use a different jam for this pie, but remember that it should be thick enough. Preserves with a marmalade-like consistency or jam work perfectly. They don't run and are ideal for making such dishes. I'll explain and show you how. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To make the pie, we need ready-made yeast dough. "Dust" the dough with flour and knead it slightly by hand.
- 2
Step 2

Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a flat sheet.
- 3
Step 3

Use a pizza cutter to make notches along the edge of the dough. Regular knives cause the dough to slightly stretch, so a round cutter handles this task perfectly.
- 4
Step 4

Place the zucchini and orange jam in the center of the dough. Spread it evenly over the dough.
- 5
Step 5

Braid the dough into a braid.
- 6
Step 6

Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top of the dough with beaten egg yolk. Sprinkle the cake with sesame seeds.
- 7
Step 7

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Bake the pie until done and golden brown (I baked mine for 40 minutes, plus or minus time depending on how browned you'd like the crust).
