
Armenian Lavash Pie
Description
Homemade pastry for tea. To make an Armenian lavash pie, you'll need very few ingredients. Layer the lavash with a simple cheese filling. By the way, you can use any cheese—just pick your favorite. Brush the top with butter for a golden crust. The pie bakes in just 20 minutes. This is a perfect way to treat unexpected guests to a delicious fresh pie or surprise your family. Serve with tea or coffee.

Grate the cheese on a regular coarse grater.

Beat the egg with milk using a whisk until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Transfer the cheese to a wide bowl, pour the mixture over it, and mix.

Lavash sheets require preparation – cut them to fit the size of the baking tray (baking pan). This can be done very quickly and easily with a sharp knife.

Start assembling the pie. On a sheet of lavash, evenly spread a small amount of the cheese mixture—about one-fifth of the total quantity.

On top, place the next sheet of lavash, a little cheese mixture, and the next sheet. This way, you get 5 layers of cheese and 6 layers of lavash, with lavash definitely on the top layer of the pie.

Brush the surface of the pie with butter melted over a double boiler and place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Bake for 20 minutes.
