Pie
Description
The recipe won't take much time. It's surprisingly simple yet unusual. It's very easy to prepare, especially if you already have prepared minced meat and yeast dough on hand—this significantly speeds up the process. The pie turns out beautifully shaped like a chrysanthemum, with its petals filled with pork mince. Delicious, hearty, and wonderfully homey. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Step 1

1. Prepare the yeast dough. I use store-bought. Then proceed to the filling. Add salt, ground black pepper (to taste), and egg to the ground pork. Peel and finely chop the onion. Mix it with the meat and knead thoroughly. Grate the cheese finely.

Step 2

2. Divide the prepared yeast dough into several layers. Roll out each layer and cut out 10 cm diameter circles from them.

Step 3

3. Place 1.5 tsp of filling onto each round dough piece. Sprinkle the filling with grated cheese on top.

Step 4

4. Then fold each filled piece in half. Fold it in half once again and pinch together the two free edges. Place the resulting pieces close to one another in a baking pan, previously lined with a sheet of parchment paper. Cover with a towel and let the pie rise for 20 minutes.

Step 5

5. Then lightly beat the yolk with milk and brush the top of the pie. Bake in the oven for 35–40 minutes at 180°C. Remove the baked pie from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve whole, without cutting—each "petal" breaks off perfectly.
