Pie
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. For a pie that looks and tastes good, use sweet apples for the filling so you do not have to add a lot of sugar. Excess sugar creates a lot of juice that will seep out, which leads to drips and can make the pie rather dry. You can also choose a filling to your own taste. Before serving, you can brush the pie with apricot or apple jam. It goes well with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Into the bowl, add 100 grams of flour from the total amount, 1 tbsp sugar, and dry yeast. Mix.
- 3
Step 3

Add warm milk. Stir.
- 4
Step 4

Put the resulting sponge in a warm place for 20 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

After the time indicated, the sponge will have risen noticeably and will start to collapse.
- 6
Step 6

In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, 3 eggs, and 1 tbsp sugar.
- 7
Step 7

Crack 4 eggs into a small cup. Beat with a fork. Pour half into the bowl with the butter–egg mixture; set aside the other half of the egg to brush the pie.
- 8
Step 8

Add the sponge. Mix until the ingredients come together.
- 9
Step 9

Add the flour. Start mixing with a spoon, then knead with your hands.
- 10
Step 10

The finished dough turns out soft, pliable, and does not stick to your hands. Cover the bowl of dough with a towel and place it in a warm spot for 1 hour 15 minutes.
- 11
Step 11

Prepare the filling. Dice the apples into small cubes. Add sugar (1–2 tbsp), depending on how sweet the apples are. Mix.
- 12
Step 12

After the time has elapsed, the dough will noticeably increase in size.
- 13
Step 13

Divide the dough into 12–13 portions.
- 14
Step 14

Round each piece. Flatten into a flat round. Place 1–1.5 tsp of apple filling in the center of the round. Pull the edges up to meet at the top and stretch them slightly upward.
- 15
Step 15

Take a pan. A springform pan is best. Grease it lightly with oil. Place the prepared dough in the pan. Cover with a towel and let rest for 20–25 minutes.
- 16
Step 16

Preheat the oven to 180°C. When the time is up, brush the unbaked pie with the reserved egg. Put it in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, then take it out and brush again with egg. Return to the oven and bake until done, another 20–25 minutes. Adjust to your oven.
- 17
Step 17

Take the finished pie out of the oven. Leave it in the tin for 10 minutes.
- 18
Step 18

Then remove from the pan and cool completely.
- 19
Step 19

Done. Serve.
