Bankrupt Pie
Description
Delicious baking for the whole family. Bankrupt Pie is a very tasty pie. It is made with 1 egg, flour, sugar, baking soda, vinegar, jam, strong tea, and various add-ins such as nuts, dried apricots, and raisins (whatever you have). The more add-ins you use, the tastier the pie will be. The colour of the pie also depends on which tea you choose—green or black: the stronger and darker the tea, the darker the pie will be. Bankrupt comes together quite quickly. Well then, shall we get started? :)

Step 1

In a deep bowl, beat the egg with the sugar, then add baking soda quenched with vinegar, two tablespoons of jam (any kind), and neutral vegetable oil. Also add mix-ins (whatever you have)—nuts, dried apricots, raisins, prunes; the more, the better. Mix everything thoroughly.

Step 2

Gradually add two and a half cups of flour. Stir so there are no lumps.

Step 3

Brew one cup of strong tea (green or black), let it cool, and pour it into the dough. Mix everything well.

Step 4

Then grease the baking dish with butter or sprinkle it with semolina. Pour in the batter and bake the pie in the oven over medium heat for about 20 minutes, then reduce the heat to minimum and bake for another 20–25 minutes or so. Test doneness with a wooden toothpick.
