
Cod Liver Pie
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. The dough for a pour‑in pie turns out great with yogurt. However, you can replace the yogurt with any fermented dairy product, adding just a little flour. The main thing – the dough should be light and airy. It’s also important not to over‑dry the pie in the oven.

Step 1

Beat the egg, yolk, and salt until fluffy. Slowly drizzle in the oil while continuing to beat. Add the yogurt and stir with a spatula.

Add the sifted flour with baking soda and quickly mix the light dough with a spatula.

Pour part of the dough into a greased pan. On top, arrange slices of boiled eggs (preferably soft‑boiled), pieces of cod liver without oil. Pepper the filling.

Sprinkle chopped green onions on top and pour the second portion of the batter over it. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C until a beautiful golden crust forms. A toothpick should come out of the pie dry.

Carefully remove the finished pie onto a rack and let it cool to a warm state. The pie is especially delicious when warm.
