
Piccata with capers
Description
Piccata is a classic Italian dish. It is usually made with chicken or veal, flavored with a sauce containing lemon juice and parsley. Piccata is very quick to prepare. Delight your family with an evening of Italian cuisine.

Step 1

1. Remove skin and bones from chicken breasts. Dredge in flour. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter with 3 tbsp olive oil.

2. When the mixture starts to sizzle, add 2 chicken breasts and cook for 3 minutes. Once the chicken is browned, flip and cook for another 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Melt another 2 tablespoons of butter and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. When the mixture begins to sizzle, add the remaining two chicken breasts and brown on both sides. Remove the skillet from heat. Transfer the chicken to a plate.

3. Add lemon juice, broth, and capers to the same skillet. Place on the stove and bring to a boil. Return the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a plate. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the sauce in the skillet and mix well.

4. Pour the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with parsley.
