Pide with feta cheese
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Slightly warm the milk and melt the butter in it. Add yeast, sugar, salt, and flour. Knead the dough, not too intensively. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours. Grate both types of cheese coarsely, add the egg and mix well. Divide the dough into several portions. Roll each portion out thinly into an oval shape. Spread a thin layer of cheese over the dough, leaving the edges free. Shape the dough into "boats," covering part of the cheese with dough. Beat the yolk and brush it over the dough. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake the pide until golden brown, about 20–25 minutes. Brush the baked pide with melted butter, slice, and serve sprinkled with herbs. Serve warm or cooled. Perfect with tea.
