Description

Homemade baked goods for tea. Ham and tomato pizza is one of the most popular types of pizza both in Italy and beyond. Actually, it's prepared just like any other pizza—the key is mastering the dough recipe, and then everyone can experiment with their favorite toppings. In our family, this particular pizza is one of the favorites, enjoyed by every family member. We always bake a couple of these pizzas for our family movie nights. The recipe for ham and tomato pizza is as follows: 1. First, we need to prepare the dough. Take a bowl, dissolve dry yeast in 100 ml of warm water, then mix in olive oil (if you don't have it, use any other vegetable oil), salt, and finely sifted high-quality flour. By the way, allow me a little digression. Pizza is a very simple dish, and the cooking technique isn't complicated, so the taste depends mostly on the quality of ingredients. If you've ever been served an amazingly delicious pizza, know this—it's simply made with high-quality ingredients, that's all. 2. Gradually add the remaining water (about 150 ml) to the developing dough, and carefully knead the pizza dough for 10–15 minutes. Exactly 10–15 minutes, no less. 3. Next, proceed in the usual way: form the dough into a ball, place it in a warm spot, and let it rise for approximately one hour (if you're using regular, non-instant yeast, it may take 2–3 hours). 4. Once the dough has risen and doubled in volume, divide it into two equal parts and roll each into a 25 cm diameter round. 5. From here, even a child could manage. Spread a thin layer of sauce over each round (you can use regular ketchup, but tomato sauce will taste much better), sprinkle with grated cheese (mozzarella works best), then scatter pieces of ham and tomatoes over the surface (personally, I prefer large chunks of tomatoes and ham, but if you prefer smaller pieces, cut them as you like—it's not crucial). 6. Bake the ham and tomato pizza for about 18–20 minutes at 220–230°C. Done! Everyone to the table :) Serve warm or cooled. Perfect with tea.
