Pizza with tomatoes and cucumbers

Description

The baking process is simple and quick. You can make delicious pizza using vegetables, in particular tomatoes and cucumbers. Tomatoes, as you know, are an essential component of this dish, and cucumbers, surprisingly, also look very natural on pizza. Thus, tomato and cucumber pizza is another interesting, non-standard pizza option that you can easily prepare at home using the most common ingredients. All you need is my recipe for tomato and cucumber pizza and a bit of good mood: 1. First, prepare the dough (if you prefer, you can use ready-made dough and skip these steps). Dissolve dry yeast in 100 ml of warm water, then mix the resulting liquid with olive oil (if you don't have olive oil, sunflower oil will work, although it gives a completely different aroma), salt, and sifted flour. 2. Gradually add the remaining water in small portions and knead the dough for 10–15 minutes. Don't rush! It's important to knead for exactly 10–15 minutes, otherwise the dough will turn out wrong and tasteless. 3. Proceed with the usual method: shape the dough into a ball and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour (for example, I leave it in a turned-off oven). If you used regular yeast instead of instant yeast, you'll need to wait significantly longer—about 2–3 hours for the dough to rise. 4. Once the pizza dough has risen, divide it into two equal parts and roll each into a 25 cm diameter round. 5. Now comes the easiest part. Spread tomato sauce over the rounds, sprinkle with grated cheese (ideally mozzarella, but any other cheese will do), and scatter thinly sliced tomatoes and cucumbers over the surface. 6. Bake the pizza for 18–20 minutes at 220–230°C. Done! Everyone to the table :) Serve cooled down or slightly warm.
