Pizza with sausage, mushrooms, and tomatoes
Description
This recipe won't take much time. Pizza with sausage, mushrooms, and tomatoes is probably the most popular variation of this dish in Slavic countries. We Slavs love our toppings rich and hearty—and this pizza fully meets those requirements. In fact, Italians (and I've been to Italy) also happily devour this kind of pizza. To prepare sausage, mushroom, and tomato pizza, follow this simple instruction: 1. Take a bowl, mix 100 ml of warm water with active dry yeast. Stir until dissolved. Add this mixture, along with olive oil and salt, to sifted flour. 2. Gradually add the remaining water in small portions and knead the dough. Knead for about 10 minutes. 3. Shape the dough into a ball and let it rise in a warm place, covered with a towel. Important note: if you used regular yeast, the dough will need 2–3 hours to rise, not 1. 4. Once risen, divide the dough into two equal parts and roll each into a circle about 25 cm in diameter. 5. The hardest part is over—now just spread sauce over each round, sprinkle with grated cheese, and top with thinly sliced ingredients (tomatoes, mushrooms, and sausage). If desired, season with your favorite spices. 6. Place the pizzas in the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes at 230°C (450°F). Before serving, lightly drizzle with olive oil (optional), and serve immediately while still hot! ;) Now you know how to make sausage, mushroom, and tomato pizza. Good luck with your cooking! Serve slightly warm or at room temperature.
