Pizza with mustard sauce
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. This mustard sauce recipe is perfect for spreading on a pizza base. The sauce complements the flavor and aroma of any topping. It will bring out the flavor of pizza with chicken or seafood, and will also add piquant notes to a fruit topping or to the most ordinary one with sausage and cheese. You can endlessly experiment with the most varied toppings, prepare the dough in different ways, or add various aromatic seasonings. Mustard is considered one of the best pizza sauces, and it is precisely what can become a good cook’s signature touch. It can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir and leave for 15 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Add the flour, mix, and pour in the vegetable oil.
- 4
Step 4

Knead by hand until the dough is soft and slightly sticky. Brush it with vegetable oil, cover with a towel, and leave in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours.
- 5
Step 5

Combine mayonnaise, plain yogurt, mustard, and finely chopped herbs (I used parsley and dill). Add lemon juice, a pinch of sugar, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir until combined. The mustard sauce is ready.
- 6
Step 6

Then prepare the ingredients for the filling; in the meantime the dough will rise to nearly double in size.
- 7
Step 7

I will be making two pizzas, 27 cm in diameter. Divide the dough and roll it out thin on a surface dusted with flour. Transfer to an oiled pan, shape the crust with your hands, and prick the dough with a fork so it does not puff up while baking. Spread with mustard sauce.
- 8
Step 8

On top, place any filling you like; I used sausage and cherry tomatoes.
- 9
Step 9

Sprinkle everything with grated cheese and bake in an oven preheated to 250°C for about 10 minutes.
- 10
Step 10

Pizza with mustard sauce is ready.
