Polish-style pizza
Description
The recipe will not take much time. A Polish take on pizza that people call a “casserole bake.” For the filling, use mushrooms, smoked pork belly, or bacon. For serving, use any sauce—ketchup pairs especially well with this pizza. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients for making Polish-style pizza.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the pork belly (bacon) into medium strips. For this recipe, boiled-smoked pork belly or bacon works well.
- 3
Step 3

Fry the brisket in a skillet for 2–3 minutes so the fat renders out. Stir so the meat browns on all sides.
- 4
Step 4

While the brisket is frying, slice the mushrooms, and cut the onion into quarter rings.
- 5
Step 5

Into the skillet where the pork belly was frying, add the mushrooms and onion. You can pour in a little more vegetable oil. Sauté the mushrooms and onion for 3–4 minutes, stirring. Add spices to taste.
- 6
Step 6

Slice the baguette lengthwise and in half.
- 7
Step 7

Hollow out the baguette and fill the cavity with the filling—fried brisket and mushrooms with onion.
- 8
Step 8

Sprinkle the pizza with grated cheese and drizzle with ketchup.
- 9
Step 9

Bake the Polish-style pizza in the oven at 180-190 degrees for approximately 10-15 minutes, until the baguette becomes crispy and the cheese melts.
- 10
Step 10

Serve the finished dish to the table right away. Bon appétit!
