Instructions
- 1
Step 1

You can choose the filling ingredients at your discretion. I prepare a traditional Italian margherita, which does not include meat. However, if desired, you can add sausage, ham, mushrooms, chicken, or anything you like to the filling.

Step 2

In a small bowl, pour one and a half cups of hot water. Hot, but by no means boiling! Boiling water kills yeast. We need hot water—approximately the temperature your hand can tolerate. Add the yeast to the bowl with hot water.
- 3
Step 3

Let the yeast sit for 5 minutes, then add olive oil, salt, and sugar to the bowl. Mix well.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the resulting mixture into a large bowl, then sift the flour into it. Mix the dough with a wooden spoon or spatula. Don't worry if your dough turns out very sticky and unlike regular pizza dough—this is exactly how it should be. This is what makes the dough incredibly tender and soft later on.
- 5
Step 5

Roll the dough into a ball, and spray the sides of the bowl with olive oil (this will make it easier to remove the dough from the bowl).
- 6
Step 6

Cover the bowl with dough with a towel and let it sit in a warm place for 1 hour. During this time, the dough should rise and increase in volume.
- 7
Step 7

Meanwhile, let's prepare the filling. Thinly slice the tomatoes.
- 8
Step 8

Grate the Parmesan and mozzarella and mix together.
- 9
Step 9

Peel the garlic and slice it thinly.
- 10
Step 10

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Place half of the dough onto a floured work surface.
- 11
Step 11

Roll out the dough. The pizza shape can be any—round, square, oval. You can even bake it in the shape of a heart :)
- 12
Step 12

Spray the rolled-out dough with olive oil.
- 13
Step 13

Place garlic slices onto the dough.
- 14
Step 14

Place the thinly sliced tomatoes, then sprinkle with cheese.
- 15
Step 15

As mentioned above, if desired, you can add any other ingredients to the filling. The main thing is not to skimp on the cheese, otherwise the pizza will turn out dry. There should be plenty of cheese.
- 16
Step 16

Transfer the pizza to a preheated oven at 250 degrees. Bake for 12-15 minutes, then remove from the oven.
- 17
Step 17

Sprinkle the finished pizza with fresh basil leaves.
