Pizza on milk
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. You can try this pizza in Greece, but there's no need to travel that far — you can easily make it at home. The dough can be rolled out as one large sheet instead of dividing it, but I decided that if making Greek-style pizza, it should be done according to all the rules and traditions. Serve cooled down or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients: flour, yeast, salt.
- 2
Step 2
Warm the milk to room temperature and pour it into the dry ingredients, add the olive oil and knead the dough.
- 3
Step 3
Transfer the dough to a bowl and cover with a towel; let it rest for 45 minutes.
- 4
Step 4
After 45 minutes, take out the dough and divide it into 4 equal parts.
- 5
Step 5
Take one and roll it into an oval about 1 centimeter thick. Create a "boat" by rolling together two edges. Repeat the same with the remaining pieces.
- 6
Step 6
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then place each pizza on it.
- 7
Step 7
For the filling: peel the pepper and slice it into thin half-rings, cut the salami into small pieces. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
- 8
Step 8
Spread each pizza with tomato sauce (store-bought or homemade), then evenly distribute the filling (except cheese) and place in a preheated oven at 200-220 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes. Sprinkle the pizza with cheese 10 minutes before it's done.
