Pizza
Description
The recipe won’t take much time. There are many pizza recipes, and they bake it using various greens — celery, spinach, parsley. But you can also use arugula greens; for example, in the “Carpaccio” pizza recipe this green pairs very organically with the other ingredients. I’m sharing a step‑by‑step recipe. Serve it cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for making pizza. The dough can be prepared in advance.
- 2
Step 2

Prepare the ingredients for making pizza dough.
- 3
Step 3

In warm water dissolve the yeast, salt, sugar, then add olive oil.
- 4
Step 4

Add sifted flour.
- 5
Step 5

Knead the dough and place it in a warm spot to ferment for 1–1.5 hours.
- 6
Step 6

Make a flatbread from the dough, place it on a baking sheet, and spread tomato sauce on it. For the tomato sauce, it is best to use tomato passata or tomatoes in their own juice, which should be "blended" with herbs (basil, arugula).
- 7
Step 7

Spread mozzarella or any other soft or semi‑hard cheese grated on a coarse grater over the tomato sauce.
- 8
Step 8

Place arugula greens on the cheese, tearing them by hand into large pieces if necessary. Reserve a little arugula to place on top.
- 9
Step 9

Arrange on the arugula slices of bacon, very thinly sliced sausage, olives, and cherry tomatoes cut in halves or quarters.
- 10
Step 10

Sprinkle the top with the remaining grated cheese, add arugula, and drizzle with olive oil.
- 11
Step 11

Bake the pizza in the oven at 220 °C for 20–25 minutes. Watch the doneness, as ovens vary. Before serving, you can garnish the pizza with green arugula leaves or basil.
