Olive Pesto
Description
The sauce takes just a few minutes to prepare. For all pesto and Italian cuisine lovers, I offer a rather interesting recipe for olive pesto. This version of the sauce isn't very common, yet it has a very unique and unusual taste. You can serve it with pasta, as usual, or add it to meat dishes. Personally, I love treating my friends to a slice of rye bread spread with this pesto when they drop by for a cup of coffee—it turns out absolutely delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this simple olive pesto recipe; I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. 1) First, place the green olives into a blender bowl, add chopped onion, and blend until a paste forms. Transfer the mixture to a ceramic dish. 2) Peel the garlic and finely chop it. Place it in a mortar, add salt, and grind thoroughly. Transfer the garlic to the bowl with olives and onion. 3) Now toast the nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown. Grind the nuts in a mortar and add them to the bowl with the other ingredients. 4) Dress the sauce with olive oil and mix until smooth and well combined. Now you know—the sauce is ready. Store it in the refrigerator and serve with your favorite dishes.
