
Shortcrust pie with apples and custard

Prepare the ingredients for making a pie.

First, prepare the custard. Pour the milk into a heavy-bottomed saucepan and place it on the stove.

In a small bowl, mix the egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar, and cornstarch, which can be replaced with flour. The mixture should be smooth and free of lumps.

When the milk in the saucepan starts to boil, pour in the prepared mixture. Stirring constantly, cook the cream until it thickens. Transfer it to another dish, cover with plastic wrap, and let it cool completely.

Prepare the pie dough. Put the softened butter and sugar into a bowl.

Add sour cream and baking powder. Mix these ingredients.

Gradually add the flour and knead a soft, elastic dough that doesn’t stick to your hands.
