Shortcrust pie with cottage cheese
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You can make this pie with various fillings: cottage cheese, berries, or even add some nuts. For making a shortcrust pie with cottage cheese, I use medium-fat cottage cheese and regular table apple cider vinegar (9%, though this isn't crucial). See the recipe with photos below. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, prepare the dough. Sift 3 - 3.5 cups of flour onto a cutting board. Sprinkle 3/4 cup of sugar on top and add 250 grams of softened margarine.
- 2
Step 2

Extinguish the soda with vinegar and pour it over the margarine and sugar. Mix all the ingredients together with your hands. The dough will turn out crumbly.
- 3
Step 3

Place the cottage cheese in a bowl. Mash it with a fork until no lumps remain. Add the eggs, 3/4 cup of sugar, and vanilla.
- 4
Step 4

Mix everything thoroughly (you can use your hands). The cottage cheese filling is ready. Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil and place 2/3 of the dough into it, shaping it like a small plate.
- 5
Step 5

Then add the filling.
- 6
Step 6

Place the remaining dough on top.
- 7
Step 7

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 30–35 minutes. Remove the cake from the mold once it has completely cooled. If the baking pan is non-removable, first cut the cake into four sectors, then use a spatula to remove each piece.

Step 8

You can serve the ready-made shortcrust pie with cottage cheese with tea.
