Shortcrust pie with pears
Description
The baking is simple and quick. Actually, I recommend making the shortcrust pastry with butter instead of margarine, especially for children. It will turn out both healthier and tastier. As for the sour cream in the filling, you can substitute it with cream of the same fat content if you prefer—this won't make much difference, although I personally enjoy the distinct tangy flavor that sour cream gives to the cream. So here's a simple recipe for a shortbread pie with pears—read on and enjoy baking! :) Serve with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Grate frozen butter or shred coarsely on a grater.

Step 2

Add sour cream, sugar, flour, and baking powder, mix thoroughly by hand or with a mixer until you get a thick, slightly sticky dough.
- 3
Step 3

Shape it into a ball, dust with flour, and place in a mold. Spread it over the bottom and form high edges.
- 4
Step 4

Wash the pears, peel them, and remove the cores.
- 5
Step 5

Slice thinly and place on top of the dough.
- 6
Step 6

Beat the egg with sugar, add sour cream, vanilla, cinnamon, and prepare the cream. At the very end, thicken it with 2 tablespoons of flour and beat again until the lumps are completely dissolved.
- 7
Step 7

Pour the custard over the pie and place it in a preheated oven at 180°C.
- 8
Step 8

Remove, bake for about 40-45 minutes, then take out and let cool for about 15 minutes. That's it, the shortcrust pear pie is ready to be served!
