
Shortbread jelly rolls
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Shortbread rolls with jam are a tasty homemade pastry. For the recipe, use thick sweet jam. The rolls turn out crisp and sweet. They are ideal with tea as a treat.

Prepare all ingredients.

Cream together soft margarine and sour cream with a fork.

Pour in the sifted wheat flour.

Knead the shortcrust dough — it will be elastic but soft. Leave it on the counter to rest for 15 minutes.

Then divide the dough into 8–10 portions, roll each piece out thinly, and trim the edges into a rectangular shape.

Spread the fruit butter on one edge and roll up into a roll.

Roll up all the rolls and arrange them on a baking sheet.

Bake the rolls in the oven for 20–25 minutes at 180–190 degrees. Some of the jam may leak out a little, but most of it will stay inside.

Cool the shortbread rolls slightly, dust with confectioners’ sugar, and serve.
