Shortcrust pastry baskets
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. Everyone in my family has a sweet tooth, so we always have something sweet at home. But since store-bought pastries sometimes raise doubts, I've collected several "signature" recipes. Today I'll tell you about one of them. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
In a bowl or any other deep container, mix softened margarine with butter and add sugar. Rub until smooth using a mixer, blender, or simply a fork.
- 2
Step 2
Next, add the egg and mayonnaise, along with the baking soda previously neutralized with vinegar. Mix thoroughly.
- 3
Step 3
Now gradually add the flour and knead the dough thoroughly until it becomes elastic but remains soft.
- 4
Step 4
From the ready-made dough, pinch off pieces and roll them into balls. Place these balls into special molds and spread out the dough.
- 5
Step 5
Bake the baskets until golden in a preheated oven at 180 degrees.
- 6
Step 6
The cooled baskets are easily removed from the mold and are ready for further filling.
