
Shortcrust pastry with sour cream for pie
Description
The pastry is easy and quick to prepare. This is a versatile dough that is very simple to make. You can prepare it in advance and store it in the refrigerator. It makes an excellent base for a pie with any filling: fruit, berries, vegetables, or meat. If the filling is savory, do not add sugar to the dough. The pastry is ready. Serve at the table.

Mix in a container the sifted flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.

Cut the cold butter into cubes and add to the dry ingredients. Rub the butter into the flour with your hands or a fork.

Beat the egg with a whisk until foamy, then add the sour cream and mix.

Combine the egg mixture and butter with the flour, knead into a smooth dough. Roll into a ball and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

When the dough has cooled, roll it out to a thickness of up to 8 mm. To prevent it from sticking to the board, dust the board with flour.
