Shortbread cookies with chocolate
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. If desired, instead of grated chocolate you can add chopped chocolate to the dough. Preparation: Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking sheet with butter. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the sugar. Mix in the egg, lemon zest, and grated chocolate until smooth. Stir in the sifted flour and knead the dough. It should be soft and elastic. Shape the dough into a ball. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 40–60 minutes. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out to a 5 mm thickness. Using cookie cutters, cut out the cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet about 3 cm apart. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes. Allow them to cool completely before serving.
