Shortbread cookies with jam
Description
The baked goods are simple and quick to prepare. Let the cookies cool down completely. It's best not to touch them while they're still hot, otherwise they might break apart. Once cooled, they will firm up and be ready to serve. They pair perfectly with milk and hot beverages such as tea, coffee, or cocoa. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First of all, the butter should be softened so that it can be easily beaten. Place it in a deep container and beat with a mixer.
- 2
Step 2

Now add three types of sugar and nutmeg to the butter. Beat for another few minutes. It's important to mix everything thoroughly.
- 3
Step 3

Now take the eggs. Separate the whites from the yolks. Add two yolks to the bowl.
- 4
Step 4

Pour in about half of the total amount of flour, turn the mixer to low speed, and gradually add the remaining flour while beating. Continue beating until a smooth, uniform mixture is obtained. This way, you will prepare the dough for the future cookies.

Step 5

Roll out the dough. Using a glass, cut out circles from it (these will be our cookies). With a piping bag or a plastic bag, squeeze a small amount of jam onto each circle. Place the future cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 6

Place the cookies into a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Bake for about 15 minutes. However, check the cookies after ten minutes of baking. Once they turn golden brown, they're ready to be taken out.
