Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Instead of butter you can use margarine, but under no circumstances use spread!
- 2
Step 2

Melt the butter in the microwave or in a water bath, add the honey and pour in the beaten chicken egg, sprinkle in the salt. Mix everything thoroughly.
- 3
Step 3

Add the corn flour in portions, kneading the shortcrust dough.
- 4
Step 4

Do not rush, work carefully and knead the dough without lumps.
- 5
Step 5

Form a firm shortcrust dough, cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
- 6
Step 6

Cover the work surface with parchment paper and roll out the shortcrust pastry on it to a sheet about 1 cm thick.
- 7
Step 7

Cut out the pieces using cutters or shape gingerbread balls.
- 8
Step 8

Remove the intermediate dough between the shapes, roll out again and cut out the shapes again, etc., until the dough runs out. Transfer the parchment with the cutouts onto a baking sheet, and put it in the oven.
- 9
Step 9

Bake the treat for about 10–15 minutes until golden brown. Don't worry, honey won't become a carcinogen; it will simply lose its beneficial properties, leaving only the sweetness.
- 10
Step 10

Serve the ready shortbread cookies (healthy) at the table for breakfast or dessert with fragrant tea, and don’t forget a slice of lemon!
