
Barley with chicken in a multicooker

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

Dice the onion. Grate the carrot on a coarse grater.

In the multicooker, select the vegetable sauté mode. Add a little vegetable oil and sauté the onion and carrots, stirring occasionally.

Cut the chicken fillet into cubes.

Add the sliced fillet and sauté together. Lightly season with salt and sprinkle with spices.

Rinse the barley thoroughly several times in cold water. Add to the fried chicken and vegetables.

Pour in 2 cups of boiling water, add salt and minced garlic. In a multicooker-pressure cooker, select the pilaf mode. Close the steam release valve and set the time to 25 minutes. If using a regular multicooker, select the pilaf or rice mode, and set the cooking time to 50–60 minutes.

After the program ends, let the multicooker stand for about 10-15 minutes so the steam can dissipate and the grain finish cooking.
