
Upside-down kumquat cake
Description

1. Wash the kumquats, cut them in half. Place the kumquats in a pan, add water and 0.5 tablespoon of sugar, simmer over medium heat for 8–10 minutes.

2. Beat the butter with sugar, then after a couple of minutes add the eggs, baking soda, salt, flour, and milk. Knead until you get a soft dough.

3. Place the vanilla pod at the bottom of the baking pan, add the kumquats, pour in the batter, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

4. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool, then turn it onto a plate and serve.
