   1. First, pour soy sauce over the quails, let them marinate for 2 hours, turning occasionally.

   2. Place sliced butter, finely chopped basil, and minced garlic into the bottom of a baking dish. Add the marinated quail, then season with salt and pepper to taste. I am using a ceramic baking dish with a lid.

   3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes, covered with a lid. Then remove the lid and bake the quails for another 10 minutes until they are browned.
