Instructions

Step 1

Pour clean drinking water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Rinse the rice and add it to the saucepan with boiling water. Cook the rice until half-done, then drain the water.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the onion. Finely chop it with a sharp knife. Melt a piece of butter in a frying pan. Sauté the prepared onion until golden brown.
- 3
Step 3

Now take the ground meat (you can buy it ready-made or prepare it yourself by passing equal parts of pork and beef through a meat grinder), place it in a bowl. Add the sautéed onion, chopped parsley, rice, and a little tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Your pepper filling is ready.

Step 4

Wash the peppers under running water. Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Place the peppers in the boiling water and blanch for five minutes. Then cool the vegetables.
- 5
Step 5

Cut off the cap with the stem from each pepper, but not completely. Fill each pepper with the stuffing and close with the "cap."
- 6
Step 6

Place the peppers in a small pot so that their stems are facing upwards. If you arrange the vegetables vertically, the filling won't fall out during cooking. Dilute the tomato paste in a glass of water and pour it over the peppers. Simmer them over low heat for half an hour with the lid closed.
