Dumplings in a multicooker on steam
Description
You can make the filling using any type of meat or buy it ready-made at the store. Most commonly used are pork, beef, or chicken mince, or a mix of these. Add finely grated onion or onion purée to the filling. Optionally, include a pressed garlic clove or dried ground garlic. If you like fresh herbs in your mince, use dill or parsley. Serve the dumplings hot, straight from the pot, with sauces.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Peel and rinse the onion, then cut it in half.
- 2
Step 2

In a deep container, add high-grade wheat flour and make a well (indentation) in it. Break a chicken egg into the well and add salt.
- 3
Step 3

Pour in the water—it can be cold or warm, but not hot, so the egg doesn't curdle. Start kneading the dough with your hands. At first, it will stick to your hands, but then it will come together into a ball.
- 4
Step 4

Knead it for 10-12 minutes, then cover the container with plastic wrap to prevent the dough from drying out, and let it rest for 20 minutes to activate the gluten.
- 5
Step 5

Meanwhile, prepare the filling: place the minced meat into a deep bowl, and grate the onion finely into the same bowl. Add salt and ground black pepper. You can also add seasoning to taste. Mix everything thoroughly.
- 6
Step 6

Knead the dough once again and divide it into equal parts. Lightly dust the surface of the table with flour, roll each part into a round sheet. Dip the edges of a glass into flour and cut out circles from the dough.
- 7
Step 7

Place 1 tsp of filling in the center of each.
- 8
Step 8

Pinch the edges of the circle together like a dumpling, then bring the two ends together to form a dumpling shape. In this way, make the rest of the dumplings from the filling and dough, placing them on a board dusted with flour. In this form, they can be frozen in the freezer, creating semi-finished products for future use.

Step 9

Pour 600-700 ml of boiling water into the multicooker bowl, cover the bowl with the steaming container, and place the dumpling portions onto it. By the way, you can add bay leaf, herbs, and spices to the water in the bowl; they will give the dumplings an incredible aroma.
- 10
Step 10

Activate the "Steam" mode on the appliance's display for 40 minutes and close the lid. After the specified time, the appliance will notify you that cooking is complete with an audible signal.
- 11
Step 11

Place the fragrant dumplings on a plate and serve hot. Don't forget to add butter and sour cream. Enjoy your meal!
