Gently stir the dumplings in the pot, cover with a lid, and place in the oven. Set the temperature to 200 degrees and cook for 35 minutes. Check the dumplings after about 20 minutes, as dough may vary. I'm using homemade dumplings, and the dough holds well.

Remove the pots from the oven. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

  10. 10

    Step 10

Sprinkle the dumplings with cheese and place the pots (without lids) in the oven. Turn on the top heating.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

And bake until the cheese reaches your desired consistency. There was a lot of liquid left in my ramekins, so I decided not to bake the cheese until it formed a crispy crust.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

I have large pots, so I transfer the dumplings from the pot to a plate. They turned out like this—the melted cheese goes perfectly with the sauce. The taste is drastically different from dumplings boiled on the stove. Delicious!
