Cheese dumplings baked in the oven
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. For making dumplings, I use a dumpling press, which is very convenient and saves time on shaping. Prepare the dough and the filling — and get started! Boil the dumplings, toss with butter, sprinkle with cheese, and bake in the oven. Good luck! The finished dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for the dumplings. Set aside the cheese and butter for now; you'll need them at the end of cooking.
- 2
Step 2

Take a deep dry container, add three (not full) cups of flour. Dissolve a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water (300 ml). Pour it into the center.
- 3
Step 3

Using circular motions, start kneading the dough, then turn it out onto a floured surface and knead into a firm dough. Wrap it in plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Prepare the filling. Add finely chopped onion, salt, and ground black pepper to the minced meat. Mix thoroughly.
- 5
Step 5

Cut off a small piece of dough and roll it out thinly. Sprinkle one side of the dough sheet generously with flour so it won't stick to the dumpling press.
- 6
Step 6

Place the dough sheet on the dumpling maker with the floured side down.
- 7
Step 7

Fill the cells with the filling, but don't put too much filling, otherwise the dumplings will get stuck.
- 8
Step 8

Roll out the second sheet of dough. Cover the dumpling press with it. Sprinkle flour on top and roll over the dumpling press with a rolling pin.
- 9
Step 9

Flip it over and simply pour the dumplings onto the table.
- 10
Step 10

Bring water to a boil in advance. Season with salt to taste. Drop the dumplings into the boiling water, stir to prevent sticking to the bottom. Cook for up to 10 minutes.
- 11
Step 11

Remove the cooked dumplings with a slotted spoon and season with oil.
- 12
Step 12

Generously sprinkle with grated cheese and place in a preheated oven (180-200 degrees) for a few minutes to melt the cheese.
- 13
Step 13

Done!
