Classic Dumplings
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The dumplings can be frozen by placing the board with the dumplings into the freezer. It's more convenient to freeze the dumplings on a board covered with plastic wrap, as this makes it easier to remove the frozen dumplings. I hope you like my recipe. The finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

1. To make classic dumplings, we should first sift the flour.
- 2
Step 2

2. Next, the dough can be kneaded by hand, with a mixer, or in a bread machine. I'm lazy, so I do everything in a bread machine. The amount of ingredients remains the same regardless of the kneading method. So, into the bread machine bowl, add the flour, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon of salt.

Step 3

3. Add vegetable oil and water. Place the bucket into the bread machine. Start the dumpling dough program and forget about the dough for 20 minutes. Use this time to prepare the dumpling filling. The filling will be a mixed meat mince with added salt, ground black pepper, and finely chopped onion. To make the mince juicy, pour in 120 ml of water and knead the mixture well.

Step 4

4. By this time, our dough should already be ready. If you are preparing the dough by hand or with a mixer: put all the ingredients for the dough into one bowl and simply knead by hand or with a mixer using a dough hook. Kneading time is 7-10 minutes.

Step 5

5. Divide the dough into 3 parts. Roll out one part into a flat sheet. Use a dumpling maker (or cut out circles with a glass and hand-fold dumplings) to shape the dumplings. For beginners or amateur cooks, using a dumpling maker is easier. Stretch the dough sheet over the dumpling maker and press gently with your hands so the mold cavities become slightly visible, but the dough doesn't tear.

Step 6

6. Fill the dumpling maker compartments with the prepared filling.
- 7
Step 7

7. Cover the filling with a new layer of dough. Dust the dough with flour and roll it out with a rolling pin. The dumplings will be pressed through. Remove excess dough and press the dumplings out of the dumpling maker. Combine the leftover dough scraps with the reserved dough, roll it out again, and use it to make another batch of dumplings.

Step 8

8. Place the dumplings on a flat, dry surface and let them dry. Bring water to a boil, then cook the dumplings in salted water. Cooking time — 2 minutes after boiling.
