
Dumplings made from rice flour
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Dumplings are not at all Russian but Chinese. Chinese dumplings are better known as ravioli. They come with various fillings, from sweet to savory. Ravioli can be made with one or several types of meat. The finished dish can be served at the table.

Mix the two types of flour and sift them into a bowl.

Add salt to the dough. Beat 1 egg and add it to the flour.

Pour in cold water and knead the dough. At the final stage, add vegetable oil to the dough. Knead the dough again. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rest.

Finely chop the onion in a blender. Add the onion to the meat mixture. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper, and mix well. You can shape the dumplings by hand or use a dumpling maker. I find it faster to use a dumpling maker. Dust the dumpling maker with flour.

Roll out a small piece of dough on a floured surface. Transfer the dough to a dumpling press. With an open palm, gently pat the dough into the press to reveal the holes, making sure the dough does not tear. Place a small portion of filling into each compartment.

Roll out the piece of dough again. Cover the filling with it. Lightly dust the dough with rice flour and roll it with a rolling pin. The dumplings will be cut out. You'll just need to shake them off the dumpling board.

We'll get these cute little dumplings. Just a reminder, you can shape dumplings by hand, giving them various forms. I went with the simple method.

Boil the dumplings in salted boiling water.
