Turkey Dumplings
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I used turkey mince, but you can essentially use any other kind. When boiling the dumplings, we recommend adding a few bay leaves to the boiling water. This will make your dumplings even more aromatic and delicious. See the detailed recipe. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Sift the flour. Add salt to it. Mix the flour and salt together with your hands.
- 2
Step 2

Make a well in the flour, crack the egg into it. Quickly mix the egg with the flour using a fork. The flour will absorb the moisture and take in the egg.

Step 3

Using a mixer, knead the dough while continuously pouring in boiling water in a thin stream. The dough should thicken and come together into a ball. At the very end of kneading, add the vegetable oil and knead the dough again. You should end up with a ball like this.

Step 4

Divide the dough into 3 parts, and each part into 2. Roll out one piece of dough into a thin sheet. To shape dumplings, I use a special dumpling maker, but you can use a glass to cut out circles from the dough and fill them with filling by hand.

Step 5

Place the filling into the dumpling molds. The filling should be made from ground turkey and onion. Add salt, spices, and 0.5 cup of water—this will make your dumplings juicy. Mix the filling thoroughly.

Step 6

Now roll out the dough sheet again, cover the dumplings with this sheet. Roll with a rolling pin and press out the dumplings. You'll get these handsome ones.

Step 7

Boil the dumplings in hot salted water. After they float to the surface, remove them from the water with a slotted spoon. Serve with sour cream or butter.
